For the most part, crock pot cooking is simple and easy. You just through in all of the ingredients, let it simmer for the day, then later on you just serve it on a dish or bowl and presto! Many recipes are a meal in itself that can feed you, friends and/or family without any extra side dishes, well except for perhaps some pieces of bread.

Foods cooked up in a crock are not limited to stews, soups, or chili; although those types are usually the most popular. Breads, cakes, and vegetables can also be prepared easily. Some of those recipes are included here but usually they are better prepared using traditional methods.
